THE TUILERIES:

Jardin des Tuileries

The Tuileries Garden occupies the stretch of land is situated between the Louvre and Place de Concorde, with view of the Arc de Triomphe in the distance. This is one of my favorite garden parks because you can wander and meander through while on your way to your destination. Many people bring chairs in summer to sunbathe at the foot of the fountain pond, soaking up the atmosphere and the sunshine. Many beautiful sculptures exist within the Tuileries and are juxtaposed against the bright white sand ground or lush green trees, adding to the overall aesthetic of the garden. In the summer months, Fête des Tuileries brings funfair activities to a section of the gardens. I guess all I need to feel at home is a Ferris wheel, neon lights, and food on a stick that is covered in chocolate (nutella in this case). As we rode the high-flying swings we saw beautiful views of the sparkling Eiffel tower at night, the Louvre pyramid, and the moonlit grounds of the Tuileries below us. Take advantage of the public parks that Paris has to offer, because there is nothing like them at home in L.A. and that is one thing that I truly miss.
